Ambush Rock, Mpanza - Greytown Tel: 033 413 1171
Police column sent to collect two women and a child from Marshall's Hotel and storekeeper's wife from Keate’s Drift. Ambushed en route back to Greytown. Four policemen killed. More information in Greytown Museum.

Mome Gorge - Nkandla Area Tel: 035 474 1141
10 June 1906. Scene of the battle that broke the back of Rebellion. 575 rebels and 3 colonial soldiers skilled. No signage, very remote, not suitable for vehicles with limited ground clearance.
Visit only with tour guide and tribal permission.
