Built in the 1890's, nestling against ThabaNyama, this former Boer quarters & ammunition base was later, after the relief of Ladysmith, also used as quarters for the British. The beautifully restored 9 ensuite bed roomed mansion offers excellent 3 Star accommodation. 8 of the rooms have their own outside entrances. The spacious dining room offers delicious genuine South African home cooked mini buffet’s. The quaint, fully stocked bar and pool room, is built in the old Boer war ammunition stash under the house. The Homestead is a 24 roomed Guest Lodge in the Drakensberg, based on an English Country Inn.
