Specializing in small exclusive groups providing a personal touch we offer day tours to the Imfolozi Park in search of the Big Five , tours of the eMakhosini ( Valley of the Zulu Kings ) Heritage Park and cultural tours in and around Ulundi where you are exposed to the modern rural Zulu people’s way of life. Highlight of the year is a visit to the annual Zulu Reed Dance in September, which we have attended for the past 10 years, and can ensure that you maximize your experience of this spectacular event while respecting protocol.

Established as a Bed and Breakfast for 20 years, the Lodge has 36 Luxury Aircon Rooms with DSTV, radio's, web. + e.mail access for guests. Coffee tray, laundry service, bus friendly with secure parking. Lunch boxes and dinner on arrangement. Conference facilities are in progress.

Deep in the heart of Zululand lies the eMakhosini Valley known as “Valley of the Kings". This area is the cradle of Zulu history. eMakhosini Hideaway is tucked away in the "Valley of the Kings" - located 4km from Dingaanstad (umGungundlovo), on a private 328ha Game farm, part of the Mkhumbane Game Ranch (3649 ha).
Close to the Hluhluwe Umfolozi Game Reserve and other major tourist attractions like eMakhosini Valley (Valley of the Zulu Kings), umGungundlovo (Dingaanstad) where Dingaan ruled and Piet Retief and his followers were killed; Isandlawana, Rorke's Drift and Ulundi Battlefields. The farm is home to non-dangerous game, such as Giraffe, Zebra, Wildebeest, Kudu, Nyala, Red Hartebeest, Waterbuck, Blesbuck, Impala, Warthog, Duiker, Steenbuck, and various other species.
